Call for Artists

Scope of Project

The Palm Springs Public Arts Commission is excited to announce the “Stop In The Name of Love” call for artists, a Palm Springs traffic boxes project.Palm Springs Public Arts is looking for love in all the right places, so it’s time to express everything you love about Palm Springs! The traffic boxes will be designed to link Public Art from the north end to the south end of Palm Springs.

The first phase of this project includes 8 traffic boxes located on Palm Canyon.
This is an open call for artists who would like to be considered for this phase of the project.
The deadline for proposals is January 18th
Please see the budget guidelines and a photoshop image as guidelines.
All artists are asked to create an Artist Profile on our Artist Directory.
The project will be supervised by Palm Springs Public Arts Commissioner Shawnda Thomas Faveau.

Artists Pay and Measures

Artist will be compensated $500 per box.
Front of box: 4′-10″ tall x 2′ wide
Back of box: 4′-10″ tall x 2′-6″ wide
