I grew up and was educated in Pennsylvania and Ohio. As a practicing hematologist-oncologist in Columbus, I participated in clinical research and still work 6 days at year at the National Cancer Institute in DC, as an editor of the website www.cancer.gov. My second husband, much older than me, introduced me to the desert, as he conducted zoological research for 30 years at Boyd Reserve in Palm Desert. We travelled extensively, inspiring many images and ideas for paintings. Since he passed away I’ve spent winters here in Palm Springs, enjoying golf, tennis, bridge, music, art and hiking.
What kind of public art project do I want to work on?
My interest in a public art experience would be to create watercolor images of iconic homes, businesses, gardens, scenes in the valley.
