Ernesto Ramirez was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and grew up in Mazatlan, Mexico. He painted his first art piece at age 12, which won a school competition. Unfortunately, he was not consisted with his painting because as a youth, he was more focused becoming an Architect. Throughout his youth he had a passion for arts, building, design and creativity, so he decided to go back to Guanajuato to become an Architect at the University of Guanajuato.
During college, he rediscovered his passion for painting. After graduating college, he lived and worked as an Architect in various cities throughout Mexico. In 2001, he moved to Los Angeles and worked in construction and as a successful bathroom/kitchen designer. Pursuing his true passion, art, began painting full-time in 2017. Lives in Palm Springs.
What kind of public art project do I want to work on?
I would love to be more involved in the art community in Palm Springs.
