Artist Bio
BENAIM + BERTI is an artist duo conformed by Mariana Fuentes (Berti) and Daniel Benaim (Benaim)
Both artists were born in 1973 and 1975 respectively, and both have a very eclectic background (american, venezuelan and italian), Currently residing in Palm Springs, CA.
Berti (Mariana Fuentes) holds a B.F.A. from New York University and a Master in screenwriting from UIMP in Spain. She has created several art installations for exhibits at the MACCSI (Museum of modern Art in Venezuela) and the Biennalle de Barro de America.
Benaim (Daniel Benaim) holds a B.F.A from Reveron University and is represented by GBG Art Gallery (https://gbgarts.com/artistas/
Daniel has worked mostly as a photographer and painter and has most recetly participated together with Berti in two collective exhibitions:
“Tiempos de Espera “, GBG Art Gallery. With the photography series “Covidlandros”
and “Antes, Durante, Despues”, online exhibition @andartearte
What kind of public art project do I want to work on?
We love to get involved with the community through art, and creating works that communicate and express beauty everywhere and for everyone. We are especially motivated by the light and source of inspiration that Palm Springs represents.
